JUDr. Michaela Sopková
JUDr. Michaela Sopková is the founder of the company and a lawyer specializing in healthcare law and employment matters within healthcare facilities. She began her legal career as a trainee lawyer (associate) at a law firm, where she spent 3 years gaining her first practical legal experience. She then spent more than 13 years working in a hospital environment, where she gained an in-depth understanding of how healthcare organizations function, their internal processes, and their legislative requirements. For nearly 13 years she has served as the data protection officer, and personal data protection remains a priority in both her work and her doctoral research at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. As part of this role, she regularly conducts employee training on personal data protection.
Throughout her career she worked in both HR and legal departments, where she was responsible for the full scope of HR administration. She took part in hiring, in preparing and running recruitment processes for management positions, and in structuring employment relationships in line with current legislation. A significant part of her work involved drafting and updating internal regulations, aligning them with legal requirements, and putting them into practice.
She has extensive experience negotiating with trade unions, representing the employer's interests and contributing to the preparation of collective agreements. Her contract-related work has focused primarily on reviewing and drafting various types of agreements, particularly IT contracts, clinical trial agreements, and contract documentation related to public procurement. Another key area of her work has been reviewing data processing agreements, assessing related processes, and conducting internal data protection audits.
Her work also included preparing documentation for public procurement procedures and ensuring that contractual relationships complied with public procurement law. She has regularly prepared and delivered employee training on labor law, internal regulations, data protection, and the specifics of healthcare legislation.
Thanks to her combination of long-standing experience in a healthcare facility, her background in HR and legal departments, and her expertise in IT contracts, clinical trials, and public procurement, JUDr. Michaela Sopková provides expert, practically oriented legal advice that reflects the real needs of healthcare organizations and their employees.
